A Journey of Faith and Resilience
My journey hasn't always been easy, and there were seasons where the path ahead felt completely hidden. But today, I look back at those "overwhelming" moments not as scars, but as the very things that prepared my heart to walk alongside you.
The Early Years: As a little girl, my world was often seen through the windows of a hospital room as I struggled with severe asthma. Instead of running outside, I was learning how to be still. Then, at eleven, life shifted again. My family left a war-torn country to make a new home in Canada. I remember the whirlwind of trying to fit into a new culture, a new language, and a brand-new way of being. It taught me early on how to be brave, even when I felt small.
A Turning Point: When I was sixteen, the world I knew shifted again when my parents divorced. In my culture, this was unspoken and unknown, leaving me lost in a sea of confusion and fear. I stepped into the role of protector, helping my mother and caring for my younger brother, often tucking my own pain away to be "the strong one."
But God had a different plan for my heavy heart. A friend invited us to church, and I will never forget the moment I stepped through those doors. A wave of peace—deeper than anything I’d ever felt—washed over me. I didn't have the words for it then, but I knew I was finally home.
A New Identity: Coming from a Hindu background, the Bible was new territory for me. But as I began to read the Word daily, something shifted. The fear that had lived in my chest for years began to melt away, replaced by a quiet, steady confidence. I realized I wasn't just a girl trying to survive; I was a Daughter of the King. I found the promise that has carried me ever since: He will never leave me nor forsake me.
Where I Am Today: Life looks very different now. I am blessed with a peaceful, joy-filled home, a loving husband, and two beautiful children who are my greatest treasures. My passion for coaching and writing wasn't born in a classroom—it was born in the trenches of life. I know what it’s like to feel lost, but I also know the Way back to peace.
My Heart for You: f you’re feeling stuck or overwhelmed, please know this: your story isn’t over yet. I’m not here to just give you "advice"—I’m here to hold a light for you while you find your voice, your worth, and your strength again.
You don't have to walk this path alone. I would be so honored to walk it with you.
God bless you, Mathana (Cindi) Senthilnathan
